9 types of intelligence?

If you say "a smart person", you may think of people who are good at mathematics and fluent in languages.
All people have 9 types of intelligence?

In school education, it tends to apply smartness to a certain type and to ignore other intelligence. However, even if I am not good at mathematics, even if I can not speak English, it is possible that everyone is conferring "intelligence". Let's look at the nine intelligence categorized by Howard Gardener in the American development psychologist in 1983.

1. Natural intelligence

The height of ability related to nature is the ability to identify everything in the natural world (structures of clouds, stones, etc.) as well as non-human creatures (plants, animals, etc.). This was a very useful ability for hunting, agriculture, etc. in the process of human evolution. Now, botanists and cooks benefit from this.

2. Musical intelligence

The musical intelligence has the ability to identify 'pitch, rhythm, tone' and so on. With this intelligence, we can recognize, build, play and feel the sounds played by composers, conductors, musicians, vocalists and others.

Interestingly, music and people's feelings both have emotional ties, and mathematics and music intelligence may be able to find common points in the pattern of thinking process. Most young people with this intelligence like singing songs themselves or hitting drums themselves.

3. Logical & mathematical intelligence

Intelligence that is good in computational power, has the ability to repeat proposals and hypotheses, and to execute. We will be able to understand the relationship of things by this ability.

Logic development ability and thought patterns are also due to this intelligence. These are usually demonstrated in mathematicians, scientists, detectives and other professions. Young people with this intelligence have a strong interest in strategy games and experiments.

4.Existential intelligence

People with this intelligence have the ability to think seriously about deep questions such as "what are human beings?" For example, what is living meaning, why people die, and what is happening here?

5. Interpersonal intelligence

This is the ability to deepen mutual understanding with others. Especially understanding the individual differences, sensitive to changes in the air and people's feelings on the spot, makes the interpersonal relationship smooth.

Teachers and social workers, actors, politicians and others are enhancing this skill. It is a leader and is also good for communication. It also demonstrates talent to the ability to understand the feelings of others and to recognize what becomes the driving force.

6. Physical intelligence

It is the ability of various bodies and intelligence that can manipulate things. This includes the sharpness of reading intuition, balance of body and mind, and includes the ability to maximize the ability. It is often seen in athletes, dancers, surgeons, craftsmen.

7. Linguistic intelligence

It is the ability to think things in words and to have words with difficult meanings. It makes us understand the order and meaning of words. This is the ability that most people have among various intelligence, and it can be understood well by seeing poet, novelist, journalist, etc. People with this intelligence like writing, talking, reading, crosswords puzzles etc.

8. Internal intelligence

This is intelligence that understands the feelings of myself and others and uses it in everyday life. For example, it is for planning things and giving instructions to people, not just "self love".

It is the ability commonly seen by psychologists, instructors and philosophers. People with this intelligence may be relatively "shy". But they are aware of their feelings well and can move spontaneously.

9. Spatial intelligence

This is the ability to capture things in three dimensions. Mainly, mental image formation, spatial reasoning, image manipulation, graphics, artistic skills and rich imagination.

For example, everyone, such as a sailor, a pilot, a sculptor, a painter, an architect, has a spatial intelligence. It tends to be attracted to drawing in a maze, a jigsaw puzzle, or a vacant time, indulge in indulgence, and so on.

"9 intelligence" based on the book of Gardner published about 20 years ago is still hot debate has been exchanged. And this book is asking us "What is good education". Which of the following did you apply?
